The Blue Bowl Series ,Oil on Panel , 24 inches x 30 inches
This is the newest oil painting from my blue bowl series of garlic and am in the process of finishing another with a third in the wings . I have always been drawn to this bowl and the challenge of painting the same object over and over again never seems to bore me. Perhaps it is the security in knowing an object so well like a good friend that no matter how often we see them there is always something new to learn, appreciate and enjoy.#art#oilpainting#fineart#demo#stilllife
Phil, this is truly a wonderful painting! Your ability to capture textures, light and mystery in a still life still amazes me...From the 'practice' making oriental rug beautifully fringed to the footed blue bowl atop it brimming with one of my favorite taste sensations, this painting takes me to so many places both past and present. You are a Master!
